Dr. Joachim Jansen.
Dr Joachim has over thirty years of experience in General Practice and Dermatology. He graduated in 1990 at the University of Pretoria, South Africa. He then started to work as a private GP and became intrigued in dermatology from the start of his career.
The harsh sun of South Africa results in a high incidence of skin cancers, and so he developed a special interest in the diagnostics and treatment of these conditions, and began his journey as an expert in the field.
Dr Jansen completed his post graduate Diploma in Practical Dermatology in 2016 at Cardiff University, Wales. He then furthered his training at the Annual Surgery Workshop at the British Society of Dermatological Surgery in 2021, and was mentored in skin flap reconstruction by Professor Richard Motley of Cardiff amongst others.
Dr Jansen became skilled in facial anatomy by working closely and performing surgery with Professor Michael Bouckaert, Maxillofacial Surgeon from the Medical University of South Africa. He is currently in the final stages of gaining an Associate Membership of the British Society of Dermatological Surgery. He is a member of the Health Professions Council of South Africa, Irish Medical Council, and the General Medical Register in the UK.
Dr Joachim has a broad interest in aesthetics and dermatology with a passion for learning and researching new diagnostic and treatment methods. He has recently relocated to Dublin, Ireland.
