THE LIMELIGHT PROCEDURE
This type of non-invasive skin treatment is ideal for removing age spots, freckles, and other red or brown spots on the skin of the face, neck, arms, chest and hands. Limelight therapy uses IPL (Intense pulsed light) to heat up the darker areas of your skin and cause the destruction of the hyperpigmented cells that make up those dark spots- which darken and move to the surface of the skin.
The REFORM SKINCARE TC PEEL
The Reform skincare TC peel is a combination of TCA 15%, Kojic acid and Mandelic acid. This is applied to the skin after the Laser Limelight procedure which will peel off the damaged skin leaving skin soft, smooth and rejuvenated.
How do I book in?
You need to book in for a Dermatology consultation and patch test with one of our doctors first to make sure this procedure is suitable for your skin. This is best suited for skin types 1-3, with sun damage fine lines, red veins, wrinkles and dyspigmentation. If the Doctor considers your skin suitable for the procedure, we do the patch test for the laser limelight and a few days later, it is okay to book in for the Limelight and TCA procedure combination.
Is it painful?
This procedure is generally very well tolerated.
What is the downtime?
The pigment can look a bit darker for a few days and there can be some mild peeling/crusting but generally a patient can go back to work immediately, and make-up can be applied.
What does it cost?
The Laser peel usually costs €350 per treatment area. While there is a significant improvement even with one session generally a course of 3 would be recommended and the procedure is performed every 2 weeks.
