The Adare Clinic Was Established In 2008 by Dr. Naomi Mackle.
Our clinics are based in Limerick City Centre and 4 Clare Street, Dublin 2.

Medical Director: Dr. Naomi Mackle
Dr. Mackle Is on the Specialist Register in Ireland and holds an H.Dip in Dermatology. Her wealth of experience as a GP, as well as practising in aesthetics, allows her to provide a unique and comprehensive service to her Patients.
Naomi undertook her medical training both in Ireland and in Perth, Australia. She worked alongside Dr. Jayson Oates (Consultant Plastic Surgeon) in the Australian Academy of Cosmetic Dermal Science. This opportunity provided her with the most up to date and innovative techniques available.
Naomi returned to Ireland and continued her passion for dermatology and plastics by training in administration of Toxin, to relax wrinkles in the face and neck. During this period she also undertook a Diploma in Dermatology, which gave her an in-depth knowledge of skin condition as well as advanced techniques in the use of lasers, chemical peels, and microdermabrasion. Dr Mackle also has extensive experience in the advanced application of Dermal fillers. As well as completing a diploma in Dermatology, Naomi is in the process of completing a Masters in Dermoscopy from Graz University, Austria.
Naomi now enjoys tutoring in her specialty at Cardiff University as well as training others in the injecting of Dermal Fillers for major manufacturers.
Dr. Plamen Penev
Dr Plamen Penev has been working in a field of dermatology for more than 10 years. He graduated as a medical doctor at the Medical University of Stara Zagora.
Following this he completed his trainee program at the University Clinic Of Dermatology and Venereology at Stara Zagora. He earned his license in Dermatology and Venereology at the Military Medical Academy, Sofia in 2014. Later Dr Penev obtained certificates in Facial Anatomy (Royal College of Surgeons Of England, London 2015), Dermal Surgery (with Prof.Dr Peter Kohl from Berlin) & Dermal fillers. Dr. Plamen is registered with the Irish Medical Council on the General Register of Doctors.
In the latest years of his medical career Dr. Plamen continued to develop in aesthetic dermatology and gained experience in botulinum toxins, dermal fillers, ablative and non-ablative lasers and energy based devices as well as dermal surgery. Dr. Plamen is an expert in Mole Removal Surgery, Mole Mapping and general dermatology services. The main priority in his work is the individual approach and care for every single patient.
Dr. Plamen is based at our clinic in Limerick.
Dr. Lyubomira Vlahova
After graduating from high school in Bulgaria, Dr. Vlahova studied medicine from 2006 to 2012 at the University of Heidelberg, Germany. She began to investigate cell adhesion proteins in Merkel cell carcinomas (a highly aggressive skin cancer) as a member of Professor Wiebke Ludwig-Peitsch’s research group at the Department of Dermatology, University Medical Centre Mannheim, Germany. She completed her dissertation in 2013 with the title P-Catherin: a new prognostic marker in merkel cell carcinoma.
Following her university graduation, she worked for almost three years as a doctor in internal medicine in Bavaria. Due to her passion for Dermatology, she moved to the Department of Dermatology, University Medical Centre Göttingen, Germany. In 2021, under the leadership of Professor Michael P. Schön, she finished her broad and well-founded specialist training in dermatology including conservative as well as operative dermatology. In particular, her experience in internal medicine is an essential foundation for understanding the complexities of many skin conditions as part of systemic diseases. In addition, she completed a further specialization in drug tumor therapy in dermatological oncology.
Furthermore, she has vast experience in laser therapy for vascular malformations as well as superficial skin tumours, and continues to develop in aesthetic dermatology.
Dr. Vlahova is on the Specialist Register in Germany and on the General Register in Ireland and currently working out of the Clare Street Clinic in Dublin 2.
Dr. Joachim Jansen
Dr Joachim has over thirty years of experience in General Practice and Dermatology. He graduated in 1990 at the University of Pretoria, South Africa. He then started to work as a private GP and became intrigued in dermatology from the start of his career.
The harsh sun of South Africa results in a high incidence of skin cancers, and so he developed a special interest in the diagnostics and treatment of these conditions, and began his journey as an expert in the field.
Dr Jansen completed his post graduate Diploma in Practical Dermatology in 2016 at Cardiff University, Wales. He then furthered his training at the Annual Surgery Workshop at the British Society of Dermatological Surgery in 2021, and was mentored in skin flap reconstruction by Professor Richard Motley of Cardiff amongst others.
Dr Jansen became skilled in facial anatomy by working closely and performing surgery with Professor Michael Bouckaert, Maxillofacial Surgeon from the Medical University of South Africa. He is currently in the final stages of gaining an Associate Membership of the British Society of Dermatological Surgery. He is a member of the Health Professions Council of South Africa, Irish Medical Council, and the General Medical Register in the UK.
Dr Joachim has a broad interest in aesthetics and dermatology with a passion for learning and researching new diagnostic and treatment methods. He has recently relocated to Dublin, Ireland.
Dr. Joachim is working out of our Dublin 2 branch.
